Luke 22:40
And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
The moment we gave our lifes to Jesus Christ, satan begins to wage battle against us with the purpose of bringing us back to himself.
One of its major tool he tries to use in bringing a soul in light back into darkness is temptation.
The devil and his agents will bring temptation our ways to make us to do things that would break our relationship with God.
This is where prayer comes in.
Prayer is one veritable tool that prevents us from falling into Satan's traps.
Jesus urged His disciples to pray against temptation in Luke 22:40 saying:
"And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation."
When we pray, the strength to overcome temptations is released unto us.
A Christian who fails to pray will sooner or later become a victim of the tempter.
The extent to which we will overcome temptations is determined by how robust our prayer life is.
How prayerful are you?
Father, please give us the grace to pray like Jesus prayed while on earth in Jesus name.
You know I love you and God loves you much more.
