James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
It is interesting to see Christians say that when we resist the devil, he will flee from us and we constantly forget the first part of that bible verse above that says we should submit ourselves to God before the devil can flee.
No wonder the devil does not flee from lots of Christians when we resist him.
Let us note, it is only our pride that will not make us submit ourselves totally to God.
We constantly thing of self (lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, pride of life) as things more important than submitting to God.
Let us remember Proverbs 16:18 says; Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
For Satan not to defeat or destroy us, we need to do the following; drop pride, submit to God and then we can resist the devil and he will flee far away from us.
In all areas the devil has been tormenting us, today the Lord will deliver us from them all in Jesus name.
I say we shall be free and free indeed in Jesus name.
