1 Corinthians 11:24
And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
This bible verse tells us about the holy communion and one of the major things the meal is meant for.
The last phrase of Christ in that verse says
".. this do in remembrance of me."
Christ is telling us that anytime we take this meal, we should always remember Him.
We should remember what He (Christ) has done for us.
We should remember He was the one that paid for our sins and gave us hope of eternal life from this earth to heaven.
We should compare our past life with the glorious one Christ has given us.
We should continually give thanks for all His love for us.
In all our doings, let us learn to give thanks more abundantly.
In this, we will move God to do more for us.
You know I love you and God loves you much more.
